The Salt Lake Symphonic Winds opens its 30th anniversary season on Tuesday, October 17 at 7:30 under the direction of Dr. Thomas P. Rohrer. The adult concert band will perform a wide variety of band selections at the Midvalley Performing Arts Center. The performance will include the “William Byrd Suite” by Jacob, Mozart’s “Marriage of Figaro,” “High Adventure” by Bass, the “Coat of Arms” march, and conclude with the family crowd-pleaser, “Music from the ‘Incredibles’”. The band will also play the ballad, “Polly Oliver,” by Thomas Root, in tribute to the composer and longtime Weber State University band director.
