Coffee with a Cop in Taylorsville
McDonald’s set to host UPD Taylorsville Precinct on Wednesday, Oct. 30th 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.
The McDonald’s at 4217 S. Redwood Road will welcome police from the UPD Taylorsville Precinct on Wednesday, October 30 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. for Coffee with a Cop. This event brings local police officers and citizens together – over complimentary McCafé coffee or beverage– to discuss community issues and build relationships in a safe environment. “We are proud to invite the community we serve to have an informal setting to meet our local police officers,” said Rob Sparrer, McDonald’s owner/operator “We hope residents will attend to connect with their local police, engage in open dialogue in a safe and friendly environment, or simply get to know our officers face to face.” “Building safe communities is a team effort,” said Detective Kyle Andrew with the UPD Taylorsville Precinct. He emphasized how connecting with community in an environment like McDonald’s is helpful in creating dialogue and raising awareness of how the department continue to serve and protect their communities.
