Ski & Snowboard News / Buy a brownie, help a guy

Feb 12, 2015 08:37AM ● By Harriet Wallis
Skiing and riding is more than just sliding down the slope. Visit a resort fairly often and you become part of the "family." People get to know each other -- sometimes only by first name. People help each other. It might be opening the door for a fellow skier with an armload of gear. Or it might be just waving to someone you know. Or it might be thanking the lifties who sweep the snow off the chairs. It's what you do as part of a family.

Skiers and riders at Brighton rally for an employee who had a tragic accident. Every Saturday there's a bake sale in the lobby. It's a small way that ski resorts and their skiers and riders bond as a family.

And a brownie for breakfast tastes really good.
